New Easier to Open Design
Opening the 2007 cart involved laying the cart down so that the front wheel was flat on the ground and releasing a hook by pulling up on it. For 2008, the cart unfolds from an upright position by pulling on the release handle. Once released, extending the cart is simply a matter of pulling the handle up and out while keeping the front wheel flat on the floor.

New Maintenance Free, Airless Tires
The tires on the 2007 cart were pneumatic tires, which gave a great ride but require a high degree of maintenance. The last thing you want to discover, when you pull your cart out of the trunk is that you have a flat tire, and while this doesn't happen often, it is something most of us would rather not deal with. For 2008, clicgear replaced the the air filled tires with maintenance free airless tires. The new tires also have a wider track than air tires, making the cart easier to push on soggy or soft ground.

New Umbrella Tube Storage Bracket
One item missing from the 2007 cart was a storage device for the umbrella tube (the tube that screws into the umbrella mount). This meant having to store the tube in your bag, or place it in the console. The 2008 model has the mount included under the handle on the left side. The umbrella holder tube also includes straps to secure your umbrella to the cart so that wind (which often comes with rain) will not blow the umbrella off the cart.

Improved Posi-Lock Brake
Minor improvements were also made to the posi-lock braking system, to increase durability and ease of use.

Improved Beverage Holder
The 2008 model improved the beverage holder by including straps to easily secure your beverage in the holder, which is part of the full sized console.

New Colors for 2008
Clicgear continues several popular colors from the 2007 line, including black, silver and orange. The new colors are blue (which is now a darker blue than the 2007 blue), red, lavender and the fun kiwi (pictured above). More selections for golf course color coordination.

Coming Accessories
Clicgear is also coming out with a line of accessories taylored for this cart. These include a clicgear cart hanger, allowing you to hang your cart on the wall for better storage; the clicgear shoe/club brush which clips on the wheel strut to clean shoes and clubs; a clicgear wheel cover to keep grass and dirt from getting in your trunk; clicgear gps holder; and a device to adjust the angle of the umbrella holder. These accessories should be available sometime in May.
